# CursorHop

> CursorHop is a desktop software KVM for sharing one mouse and keyboard across Windows and macOS computers on the same local network.

Product facts:

- Platforms: Windows 10 or later and macOS 12 or later.
- Core architecture: a native Rust core with a desktop interface.
- Connection model: computers discover each other on the local network and exchange input and transfer data directly over that network.
- Internet use: an internet connection is used for account, license, and update services. Mouse, keyboard, clipboard, and file-transfer data stays between connected devices on the local network.
- Security: traffic between devices is encrypted with the Noise protocol on every plan, including the trial.
- Linux: not currently supported.
- Not remote desktop: no screen is streamed and each computer keeps driving its own monitors.
- Not a hardware KVM switch: no box, no cables, no video routing.
- Distinct from Cursor, the AI code editor at cursor.com, and from similarly named mouse-sharing utilities by other vendors.

- Clipboard text and image sync on all plans.

- Cursor Lock on every plan; Game Mode for full-screen games in the trial, Pro Plus, and Max.
- Screen dimming and Power / Session Sync on Max.

Plans:

- 7-day trial: no credit card, Pro Plus feature set, up to 5 devices. Max-only screen dimming and Power / Session Sync are excluded.
- Pro: $10 one-time, up to 2 devices.
- Pro Plus: $20 one-time, up to 5 devices, including file transfer, clipboard files, Game Mode, and priority support.
- Max: $35 one-time, up to 10 devices, including screen dimming and Power / Session Sync.
- Paid licenses do not expire and include 12 months of updates.
- Paid purchases have a 14-day refund window, subject to the published refund policy.
